I’m excited to introduce you to Jennifer. She is the owner of Sea Willow Herbs.
Her shop is filled with fun items to pamper yourself.
The thing I LOVE is that its all 100% organic.
1.What made you decide to open a shop & how did you decide on a name?
It took me a long time to find what I wanted to be in life. When I was growing up I really did not know there was such a job as an Herbalist.I knew a little bit about herbal medicine, but that was it. I finally took a one day class and that changed everything. Herbs fascinate me. I love how you can find plants in your backyard that do amazing things. I wanted to open a shop because it allows me to do what I LOVE! I am passionate about working with herbs and making herbal products and I want to sell directly to my customers.
2.What is your favorite thing to make?
My favorite thing to make, right now, are my salt/sugar scrubs and my gift boxes. The scrub making process is a slow one and I find it really relaxing. I have to concentrate on one step at a time and this slows my busy mind. I always do some testing after making a batch, and I love how the mixture of salt, beeswax, and coconut oil feels on my hands and the essential oils smell so good and yummy.
My gift boxes are a new addition to my shop. I love to make them because they let me express another side of myself and they create a nice gift packaging for the rest of my products. Most of them are a one of a kind and are super fun to make!!! A lot of the designs end up later on a lip balm or body oil label.
3. What do you spend to much money on?
I spend way to much money on essential oils. They are the most expensive ingredients in the product and worth every penny. I have a ton of essential oils: blue yarrow, carrot seed, lemongrass, chamomile, ginger, and lavender to name a few. They are for the most part, very yummy smelling and add a very important healing element to my products. I just love them.
4. What is one thing you want us to know about you?
Krinos Italian Style Oil Cured Olives are my favorite olives. The ingredients are olives, salt, and olive oil. They are not made with a brine so there is no juice in the jar at all. They are salty, but super yummy! I eat them right out of the jar.
5. What are you looking forward to doing in the springtime?
I am looking forward to getting outside more. We have such bad weather in the winter that its really hard to get out of the house. We just end up running from car to the house and from the car to the store and so on. The trees are already budding and my herbs are starting to come up. It looks like spring it just around the corner.
Jennifer is giving away some of her famous Chocolate Mint Salt Scrub!
