We have never had cats before. Just being honest, they have always kind of freaked me out.
I am usually that friend that does not want the cat around me at all, period.
Fast forward to our little house in the country.
We rescued that mama cat in the photo below, when she was a tiny kitten. We think someone ditched her in the country. We heard her crying off in the distance. We brought here home & made her a warm safe spot in the barn. We went to the local TSC and bought her kitty replacement milk. We named her Memo and she has been her since. She does not care to be held by humans, I have had several cat scratches to prove that. She does let my husband,Kiley, hold her from time to time.
The photo below is of her with her 2nd litter of kittens. We watched her give birth to them in our garage. It was really sweet to see the kittens being born. I will never forget that. We had Mama cat fixed because nobody wants to be the crazy cat lady in the country.
A few photos of the kittens within days of being born.
They are so soft, warm, and snugly.
This photo is the very first time that they ever stepped foot on the green grass. It was the cutest thing ever. The big cat in the background is another cat that frequents our house.
