My husband, Kiley, found this old oak chair at an auction & scooped it up for $12. When he brought it home it was dirty, smelly, and not so good looking.
A few weeks ago, we decided to take on this project. This oak chair needed a little face-lift.
We started by hand sanding the seat. You can see the difference in color in the first photo.
We spent hours, hand sanding this chair in every little nook and cranny, we also broke our the electric hand sander for some of the bigger surfaces.
We were careful to try and sand every spot.
Completely sanded and dusted off…this chair was responding to its new face lift nicely. I love how fresh and new it looks just like that.
This is the original tag that was attached underneath the seat of the chair. Chair No. 1751 1/2 Made in the USA. Now that is my kind of chair!
