Our daughter, Korby is in 6th grade this year…..middle school.
If you know her at all, you know that she is a tomboy, loves sports, hates anything girly.
She will barely step foot in my craft room & do not even ask her to make a project with you.
So she was none to pleased when she found out that she had Family Consumer Science for her 1st 6 weeks of school.
This class is similar to Home Ec. They cook, sew, etc…
The teacher sent home a note telling parents what to expect & asking for donations of fabric & sewing notions. I was told by my daughter to not even think about bringing any of this sort of thing to her school. LOL
One other quick thing about Korby. She makes it a point to always do her best on assignments & at school. I love that about her.
So the assignment was to sew a pillow cover. She was mortified at the thought of touching a sewing machine. But did great!
I had to share. She of course landed an A in this class. And will probably never touch a sewing machine again.
