Oh these legos, we go way back.
Probably about 15 years. We started collecting them for our son Kalen when he was a little boy.
These legos have saved me on rainy days and snowy days.
I have stepped on a least a few hundred of them over the years.
I am sure some of them have ended up in the vacuum.
Found a few that have been chewed up and colored on.
Brought endless hours of entertainment to my “bored” children.
We have built houses and cars and families and bobcats and so much more.
I even went through a period where the kids displayed their masterpieces on the mantel.
You can not tell from the picture, but I am most certain we have thousands of these legos.
Today we pulled them out of the cupboard, dusted off the lid, and both kids looked at me like I was crazy when I said we should keep them.
These legos have lots of stories. Stories that involve our family, our kids, our lives.
We are keeping them.
And maybe someday, when I pull them out out of the storage closet for the Grandkids, I can share this blog post with them.
