My daughter Korby and I went out to a few thrift stores today. This is one of my favorite things to do in my free time.I love to find good deals and just look around.
At our second stop I wandered across this “old school” telephone. It brought back memories of being younger. My Great Grandma had one of these that hung on the dining room wall, the cord seemed like it could stretch for miles. Can you remember how loud the ring was when someone was calling? These were great. Definitely something of the past.
Tonight was the 1st ever Prescott Summer Fun festival at Korby’s school. There was a lot of fun art projects for kids, music, bubbles, food, popcorn, storytelling, & more. I volunteered at the PTO table for an hour. They had an excellent turn out and the weather cooperated.
I even got interviewed for the local newspaper. The reporter wanted to know what kinds of things that moms were doing with their kids over the summer. I forgot to mention all the refereeing I have been doing with my kids. ;o)
As you can see, Korby was not at all thrilled about having her picture taken with me.
