March came in like a roaring lion at our house this year. After my last post our ENTIRE family took turns with the nasty stomach flu! It was awful….but thankfully over! Thank God for Clorox wipes!!
As I have mentioned before I am the PTO President this year at my daughter’s school. On Friday the 13th we hosted our 1st ever Waffleman event. The waffleman has 20 waffle irons and cooks waffles for 2 hours. You pay $5.00 per person to eat as much as you want. Your school makes almost 1/2 of that as a fundraiser. We had some AWESOME parent and teacher volunteers. It was a huge success, but very time consuming on my end.
I think the last 3 weeks are somewhat of a blur to me. I was shocked this morning to hear on the news that today was St. Patricks Day! How is it the 17th already????
So speed up to this weekend. After a very long night at the Waffleman event I was looking forward to going out to my mom and dads on Saturday to relax, knit, visit, and drink margaritas. My parents are in the process of having a garage built in the back yard. They had to have several trees cut down to do this. They rented a wood chipper on Saturday and were busy chipping branches. Kiley and I “chipped” in to help out. Yes that is me by the wood chipper. The wood behind me is a SMALL portion of what there is left of those trees. I think I look kind of sexy by that wood chipper! HAHAHA
I finally finished Korby’s scarf today. The high today should be 75 degrees. I don’t think she will be sporting this scarf anytime soon due to the wonderful weather. But I was so proud to have it finished!
