Do you ever feel like people were put into your life for a specific reason?
That is exactly how I feel about my friend Tammie.
Tammie and I have NEVER met in person. Our friendship is a product of the blog world. I think she stumbled on my blog a few years ago. I noticed on her blog that she swapped a package with a friend. So being the extrovert that loves to get good mail, I told Tammie that if she ever wanted to exchange care packages…that I was her girl.
So our random blog comments have turned into a great friendship that includes swapping care packages.
Anyway….yesterday I came home from running errands to find a care package from Tammie.
She had pre-warned me about a book for adults only that she was sending. Of course my kids are standing their as I am opening my package. See in the past, Tammie has sent little goodies and I am always 8forced8 to share them with the kids.
So I quickly take my RATED R ADULTS ONLY package out and put it under my arm as we search through all the fun stuff.
“What is that under your arm, Mom?”
“Its mine, its for adults only.”
“Its chocolate, I know it is. Your friend Tammie always sends chocolate!”
“Its not chocolate, its just for me and you can’t see.” (I walk into the bathroom because I want to see this book)
My daughter is at the door. “Mom are you hiding the chocolate in the bathroom?”
This went on for a bit longer. Needless to say there was no chocolate. LOL
What can I say? I raised a daughter that loves chocolate as much as me.
So anyway……My friend Tammie made me this gorgeous table runner. My picture really doesn’t do it justice. It is just beautiful! You can read more about it here.
I am thankful for my friendship with Tammie, that all started because of some random blog comments.
